Mother Thereasa's Tomb placed in her home.
The nuns have encased all her worldly belongings.. which comprised of:
- a habit - that was darned extensivly...
- one pen and one pencil..
- pair of sandles
- bed
- table..
- bible..
- her writings and stories of her life
It all capture me.. I was so moved.. where once I did not understand her struggle, her joy and her life.. I hope to embrace it.. I felt the the presence of passion and love her work brought to the hard core poor.
To live simply.. a constant challenge.. when 1 item in my grocery cart can feed a family for a week.. the comfort of noodles.. now considered..
The sisters continue with their work.. visitors are asked to respect their lives.... I emptied my pockets.. and gave.. but there was no where to give.. I waited to talk to a sister at the front door.. and after much time.. she accepted my donation.. wrapped in a piece of paper... giving back gifts for my family and friends.. Later as I purchased items.. I once again revisited thoughts of extreme poverty... how ... how do we transform global structures... give a living wage to all.. support those in need..
